You shouldn’t ignore the slower parts of the river all too often, as it is in these that the really big graylings can be found. Both dry flies and floating nymphs have lured up many kilo graylings out of the depths on just this stretch.
Brattbacksströmmen (picture) is the last faster-flowing stretch before Långan levels out and joins Indalsälven. At normal water levels this section of Långan contains a good number of excellent fish.
